2018 Jersey Announcement

The long awaited jersey design announcement is finally here. As some of you may know, there is always an underlying concept with our official jersey designs. We are not only here to represent our heritage country at a sport we all love, but we are also here to raise awareness of our heritage. The design for the 2018 ITF Tag World Cup is raising awareness that roughly 40 years ago, the refugees who fled Vietnam in fear after the Vietnam War fled on all sorts of boats, big and small. Most common were the small fishing boats that would normally fit a crew of 5, would pack on over 50 refugees. The South China Sea took many lives as well as sea pirates robbing and destroying these defenceless fishing boats. We wear this design to remember those that survived as well as those that have fallen during this era.
